Rodeo
Saturday night we went to the Pioneer Rodeo. While I was growing up we went to the rodeo every year and it was something that I really looked forward to. I have always liked to watch the bull riding and the barrel racing (I don't much care for the calf roping stuff - I think it is a little inhumane).
Anyway, Craig and I, Austin, Morgan, and Mekenzie went, along with my brother in law and my two nephews. When we got there it was 101 degrees, so needless to say it was rather hot.
The rodeo part was good but we were there for about 3 hours and only got to see about 45 minutes of actual rodeo time. The rest of the time they were honoring different people, and doing performances that were rather boring. They even had a motorcycle show that was supposed to take place and they spent at least 25 minutes setting it up and then announced that the motorcycles weren't running properly so they couldn't perform the show.
I am sad to say that it was a bit of a let down. I think that next year we will go to a different rodeo where there is a lot of "rodeo" and a little bit of "other stuff", not the other way around.
