Austin's Birthday

I can't believe my Austin is 17 years old today. It just seems like yesterday when he was just a little baby lying in my arms. He was born 3 weeks early so he was just really tiny. He was only 6 lb 10 oz and he was just beautiful. He was a great baby and has always been so good. He is so good to me. He took over the role of being "the man of the house" at a very early age and he has always tried so hard to take care of me. I have a really bad sense of direction and even when Austin was very little and I would lose the car or couldn't remember where some place was - he has always been very aware and can direct me where to go. He is such a kind boy and I am so grateful that I have been blessed with him in my life. I love him more than words can say. The words I would use to describe Austin are...

Kind
Sensitive
Hard worker
Responsible
Obedient
Aware
Happy
Caring
Patient
Loving
Generous
Loveable
Charismatic
Funny
Good looking
People person
Smart
Awesome memory
Great Golfer

Weekend Get Away

Our family went on a little weekend getaway to St. George. We were able to stay at the Entrada which was the most beautiful and luxurious place I have ever stayed. We had such a blast!!!

Things we did...
Swam
Layed out in the beautiful sunshine
Played volleyball in the sand - the ball kept going in the water and we had fun trying to get it out.
Played pickle ball
Grandpa made his famous malts for everyone
Made a homemade dinner for Mallorey
Some went shopping
Worked out and then took showers in the most exquisite showers I have ever been in.
Sat on the patio visiting and doing nothing
Watched NASCAR - of course
Watched movies

Mallorey's Graduation

Last weekend Mallorey graduated with her associates degree. She is going into accounting so she still has 2 more years to go to get her bachelor's degree. I am so proud of her. She does well in school, she works 2 jobs, and she still manages to have a lot of social time. I love Mallorey. She has a really fun personality. When I first met Mallorey she was very quiet and now she is very outgoing and quite a leader.

Some words to describe Mallorey...
Fun
Leader
Intelligent
Spontaneous
Hard worker
Energetic
Loves life
Loyal
Helpful
Obedient
Thoughtful
Courteous
Responsible

The Proposal

Kelsey and Joey got engaged!!!

He proposed to her over a nice Italian dinner on Friday, May 2nd. They are getting married on August 14th in Craig's parents backyard. I am a little concerned because they are so young, but Craig and I have decided that they will have to grow up together. This is what they want and we want to support them.

Needless to say, I have a lot of work cut out for me in the next couple of months. If anyone has ideas, I am in need of them. They decided that their colors are going to be navy blue and white.

Tomorrow we are going to look at wedding dresses, and bridesmaid dresses. I have already booked a photographer. I feel like if I get some of the big things out of the way, I can concentrate on the smaller things such as centerpieces, decorations and things like that. So wish me luck...
