Austin's Birthday

When your children are small, you wouldn't dream of celebrating their birthday on any other day, but their birthdate. However, when they get older - you sneak it in whenever they happen to be home. Austin's 19th birthday was May 29th but we finally celebrated it on June 6th.










He is such a fun kid and I am really proud of him.

One of my favorite stories about Austin was when he was 3 years old and was asked to give his first talk in primary. I said, "Aus, do you want to give a talk on choosing the right?" He said, "No, I would like to talk on choosing the left." To this day I still laugh about it.


Things I love about Aus are...
He is strong
He is sensitive
He is handsome
He has a great sense of direction
He is kind
He has a great memory
He took on a father role when he was very young and still carries that role
He is very good to help others
He loves the outdoors
He loves his family
He is becoming more responsible day by day
He likes to take "care" of me
He is a gentleman
He is not a picky eater at all - he eats anything I make and loves it
I love his laugh

I LOVE YOU BUB!!! Happy 19th Birthday.

Crafty

So I have been feeling a little "Crafty" lately. Here are a couple of projects I have completed.

This is my front door. I made a wreath and added vinyl lettering.




We were at the cabin and we found some old chairs up in the loft that had not been used in years, so I sanded and painted them and made a little sitting area on our porch.

This last Christmas Craig gave me a really nice camera. I was the worst photographer (like cut off half of someones head - BAD) but I wanted to try and learn how to take a nice photograph. I took a photography class from Veronica Reeve(veronicareeve.com) and I have now fallen in love with this hobby. I asked Miss A if I could practice on her and she was nice enough to say yes. Here are a couple photos that I liked.

Bear Lake Weekend

Last weekend I went up to Bear Lake with the girls in my neighborhood. They are all so darling, fun, and all around great girls. I am amazed at how much I love each and every one of them. Here are a few pictures I took this weekend.
